If you want to reserve a room, please contact us to verify availability. This is especially important if you plan to stay at our B&B during special events at Earlham because we are often booked months or years in advance. If you cancel a reservation no later than two weeks before your planned stay, we'll return the full deposit because that will give us time to contact those on our waiting list.

Make a Deposit


You can send a check to College Avenue Bed & Breakfast (433 College Avenue, Richmond, IN 47374-5363) for approximately half of your expected bill.  If you cannot or don't want to send a check you can call Mic (765-960-5155) to make a deposit using your credit card via SquareUp. Be sure to verify room availability and the expected amount of your bill with us before completing this transaction.

Checking In Or Out


Check-In: Please plan your arrival for 3:00 P.M. or later. We can accommodate your luggage if you need to arrive before 3:00. Please let us know when you plan to arrive because we want to be available to greet you. We do not have a front desk and the doors to the B&B are not open to the general public. If your scheduled arrival time changes due to weather or other delays, please keep us updated so we can arrange a quick and stress-free check-in. Text messages to Mic (765-960-5155) work fine.

Check-Out: We need you to be out of your room by 11:00 A.M. to provide us with adequate time to prepare our rooms for arriving guests. However, do not feel pressured to leave. We can store luggage for late departures.


You can park on College Avenue in front of our property or in the short driveway on the north side of the house. Since we are across the street from Earlham College, you will find it convenient to leave your car parked and walk to anywhere on campus. Although we've never had a problem, we encourage you to remove any valuables and lock your car.


The B&B has central heat and air, plus each room has a small heater and a ceiling fan. Guest rooms have radio alarm clocks, walk-in closets and bath robes. There is a blow dryer in each bathroom.

 Reasonably fast internet access is available throughout the house at no extra charge. There is a small library in the upstairs foyer, and guests are welcome to use the living room and dining room on the main floor.

A small refrigerator and a microwave are available in the Floral Room and the Green Room. Small frozen dinners, packaged snacks and a variety of teas are available at all times.


We have a small dog, Molly, who is a poodle/schnauzer mix. We keep her out of guest areas most of the time, but she enjoys welcoming every visitor. We also have a rescue cat who spends almost all of his time in the basement since some guests are allergic to cats. Although we love animals, we do not allow guests to bring pets.


We ask guests to avoid use of tobacco products anywhere on the premises to accommodate the health needs of all our guests and other visitors.
